1939 Press Photo British Army arrives in France, WWII - lrx44291
This is an original press photo. Army of Britain Moves Over the Channel to France "Somewhere in France" - the English censor left the name of the port out of his caption when he approved this picture. The scene is an important epoch of the new World War. It shows the arrival in France of men of the British army, as well as airmen. Movement of troops is necessarily as secret as it can be made. British officialdom has not been over-informative about such activities and the total number of the English forces now on the western front is an official secret. Photo measures 9 x 6.5 inches. Photo is dated 10-10-1939.
    Part Number: lrx44291
Please look at the images below carefully to determine the condition of this vintage photograph, as it may not be in perfect condition. It may contain wrinkles, cracks, and possibly even tears due to its age and how it was handled before it got to us.  A scanner may see a photograph differently than human eyes will, so it is possible that the actual photograph may be slightly darker or lighter in person.
