    Description

    Antique!!! Original!!! The Russian Empire, Saint Petersburg, 1916-1917. Chapter! The Imperial Order of Saint Prince St. Vladimir, Equal-to-the-Apostles (contracted form: the Order of Saint Vladimir) was an order of the Russian Empire of the 4th degree. It was established by Empress Catherine II in honor of the Prince Vladimir the Baptizer in 1782 and it was the award for military honors and civil merits until 1917. Bronze, multilayer! Baking enamel, gilding. Private work, the firm of D. Osipov, there is the trademark (see the photo). Size: 34х38 mm. Weight: 9.0 grams. Trademarks: the sign of chapters of the orders “K” and the name of master D. Osipov “DO” are on the lower ray under the enamel (see the photo). The cross is coated with red enamel on both sides; black enamel and “gold” borders are on the cross edges; the monogram name of Saint Vladimir under the Great-Princely crown is on the ermine field, enclosed with gold border, in the center of the face side. September 22, 1782, the day, month and year of the order establishment is on the reverse side. It is worn in a buttonhole on a ribbon of the width of half vershok. Holders of the 4th degree order could be people, who were not below the seventh class in the Table of Ranks (court counsellor, lieutenant colonel, captain of the second rank).
