DESCRIPTION:
A Turning Tool for automatic and hand screw machines, designed to provide fine accuracy and the sturdiness to hold to close tolerances through long production runs.  It is an easy tool to set up and adjust.
One of the outstanding feature of this tool is the ease and speed with which tool bits are removed for re-grinding and returned to precisely the same cutting position, in a minimum of time.
Using the milled step on the left hand roller block of the right hand tool (right hand block of left hand tool) the working center line is established with a straight-edge.
There are three easy steps for fast, accurate set-up with Model T Turning Tool:
1)
Place straight-edge on the step and move tool bit so the cutting land edge is on this center line.  Lock tool bit in position.
2)
To establish approximate diameter, loosen tool bit holder stud on back of body.  Turn tool bit holder adjusting screw right or left to approximate diameter desired.  Trial cut will show what further adjustment is necessary.  When within .001 of correct diameter, lock in this position.
3)
Roller block adjustment is accomplished by loosening left hand roller block nut and with roller block adjusting screw, adjust roller block down on approximate turned diameter to permit roller to be turned by hand and lock in place.  Repeat operation for right hand roller block and tool is ready for use.
This pre-determined center line feature, with the 3-point adjustment assures fast, accurate set-up that will reduce costly down-time.
