Applications like Flow Cytometry, Particle Counting, DNA Sequencing and Microscopy are enabled by low noise, visible true CW lasers. The Genesis MX STM-Series provides up to 1 W of visible laser light from an OEM style systems. Based on Coherent’s unique Optically Pumped Semiconductor Laser (OPSL) technology, the Genesis MX STM-Series features variable output power without changing the beam parameters. This, combined with a diffraction-limited beam, low noise and high stability, provides unparalleled laser performance in a convenient package. Genesis MX STM-Series is the perfect match for customers in need of the highest performing CW laser technology for research and instrumentation in life science and biological applications.
We've configured and tested this system and guarantee that it is performing like new. The hour counter is showing 3864. The power sensor is slightly out of calibration so the system produces 1.15W when set for 1000mW. We tested this set to 900mW where it produces a bit over 1000mW at a pump diode current of 9.55A, This is 64% of the maximum 15A and compares to other units we've tested that were very low hours. It is safe to assume this laser will provide many thousands of trouble free hours runtime. Note that this laser does not include the OEM beam expander so the output beam is higher divergence than the manufacturer's spec. Note also that this is the Single Transverse Mode (STM) version which is specified to have a linewidth <30GHz which corresponds to a coherence length of a few mm.
