Description
Esther Lewittesstudied Industrial Design at the Arts Students League in NYC and jewelry making with a staff jeweler at Cartier. In the 1950s she started producing her own jewelry designs. In the early 1960s, she moved to the Los Angeles area, where she continued her jewelry work with several successful retail locations in town.
Her mostly abstract and organic jewelry designs always incorporated interesting materials.
A beautiful, sweeping sterling silver and pearl pin with her hallmark is available.
The pin is in very good condition with light age-consistent surface wear. The pearl is securely mounted, smooth to the touch and and appears unmarred. The closure works properly with a safety mechanism. The nicks visible in photo close-up is barely noticeable in person.
The pin measures 3" long.
