LOVELY GOLDEN RETRIEVER FRAMED PRINT

I purchased this wonderful Golden print back in the 1970s in an antique store in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It was not an antique, though. The owner had purchased it new from an interior  decorator as a gift for her daughter who had fallen in love with Liberty, the Golden owned by President Ford. The daughter bought a puppy who escaped from the house and was hit by a car. Mom didn't want to add to her daughter's pain by giving her the print so she was selling it in her antique store.
This print features a nice headstudy of the breed as well as a Golden in profile shown standing amid autumn foliage at lakeside.
Since I liked the piece I've kept my eye out for other work by the artist Diana Lee Charles. Unfortunately, I haven't found out much. There was a collector's plate featuring Golden puppies which came out in about 1977, as I recall and, on the back, it identified Charles as one of the country's top canine artists. That's about it.
This print is in as new condition. In fact, I never even took it out of the box. Like most dog collectors, I never have enough wall space! So, if you buy this 30+ year old print, you will be the first person to ever hang it. The frame is painted a pale blue. There's a sticker on the edge of the box that says "Made in Mexico."
