    Description

    Here is a Laser Power Microlaser dual beam 457 nm SLM laser
    probably
    made in the 1990's. The laser has no model number or date, just a serial number present. This is like a linear cavity laser that outputs at both ends but both beams are forced to output from the same end at a small angle.  I am adding a diagram of the green version; the cavity geometry is similar.  The beams are mutually coherent so one may be
    used
    for the reference beam and the other for the object beam in split beam
    Holography applications! The Laser Power Microlaser company was bought out my
    Melles
    Griot and this laser was made by them as the BLD series with up to 400 mW output power. This laser is similar. We believe it may have been 300 mW spec new but do not have a manual or a spec sheet. We can provide the BLD
    series
    manual to the buyer....almost the exact same laser. The power is fixed. The beam are not round but oval with around 4:1 ratio I think. The close up beam pictures are from a BLD 605, the others are this actual laser under test for SLM at Sam's Laser FAQ. Pure single
