Made in Austria Cork Topper Sold At Marshall Field’s

This is quite the collectible piece—a vintage cork bottle stopper, made in Austria, and sold at Marshall Field & Company in Chicago. The cork bottle shopper is capped by a green plastic top embellished with tiny fruits and vegetables. The cork fits in the middle of the bottle topper, which is composed of more tiny little fruits and veggies and has red, white and green ribbon streamers. Some of the tiny pieces show wear, but I’m guessing this piece is vintage enough that we need to expect wear, even if the item is still in its box. The outer box is black cardboard with white, blue and coral decorative items pictured, and the box top shows wear. The MF&Co price sticker is attached on one side. The box measures about 3-1/2” square and the bottle wreath is about 3” in diameter. This is a very delicate piece, and I’m happy to say it’s survived the years.
