Muffy Vanderbear & Hoppy Vanderhare Taste of Honey Beekeeping Collection 1993
For sale are Muffy Bumble Bee and Hoppy Ladybug; they are part of the Vanderbear Beekeeping Collection: A Taste of Honey.
Muffy Bumble Bee is dressed in a velvety striped romper with daisy on bodice, felt antennae and embroidered wings attached to hood, black Mary Janes and complete with folded hangtag in the shape of a beehive.
Hoppy Ladybug is dressed in a black velvety jumpsuit, felt antennae, scalloped collar and spotted felt ladybug wing attached to hood, red Mary Janes
and complete with folded hangtag in the shape of a beehive.
Muffy and Hoppy Taste of Honey were first issued in 1993 and retired in 1997.  This pair, brought as a pair, is from the first 1993 version; Muffy's bee wings were made of a finer and whiter fabric in the later versions.
Both are in excellent condition from my private collection; they have only been displayed in glass cabinet with other Muffy and Hoppy friends.
