Compared to the generic boring head on the market, the tight thread fit on the main lead screw leads to 8 graduations in backlash while the other generic model has around 10 graduations. Smaller backlash allows the operator to be able to dial in on the desired travel much faster.  The other generic models which has 10 graduation in backlash, it's not easy to adjust the travel.
