My personal thoughts:
Rolls excellent thread even on worn rods
Raises a thread to the proper level even on the average fasteners.
If you use a lubricant (highly recommended), it is practically unbreakable, you can forget about regular dies.
Also can be used for thread rolling on spokes, where conventional dies are unacceptable.
